Or maybe it’s paranormal that is the new normal?

June 17, 2011 By Nan Bush 2 Comments

This is for those of you who missed RabbitDawg’s response to “Is Atheism the New Normal?” I’ll have a post of my own shortly.

RabbitDawg said, “Then again, there’s always ‘Paranormal is the New Normal’…”

I think Rabbit Dawg is dead on the money with this statement. In the light of more acceptance of near death experiences, and other paranormal ghost programs on TV, scripture and fossilized ideas of continuence, are being re evalueated.
Another great source for the understanding of this is Robert A. Monroe’s “Far Journeys”. He was able to travel out of body to view and document this process.

That particular Huffington Post blog section is devoted to new books by credible authors, and it was what prompted me to go over to Amazon and read a few sample pages of Fringe-ology (by Steve Volk) before I bought it.
I am only about 1/3rd of the way through it right now, but I have to say, this is the sanest, most comprehensive, enjoyable to read book I’ve read on the subject(s) of paranormality this year. It’s writing at its best. The introduction alone was worth the price of the book. In fact, it’s so good I don’t want it to come to an end, so I intend to savor it as long as I can. Steve Volk adds a tremendous amount of research, new information and insight to the discussion, but I’m not going to use up excess blog space here reviewing a book I haven’t finished. I can see a 5-star Amazon review will coming, though.

Speaking of books Nancy, um, when is Dancing Past the Dark (or whatever title you end up giving it) going to come out? Tomorrow? Today? Yesterday? We’re waiting! 🙂 *thumping tail impatiently*
